The addresses of the websites of the US government end with the extension “.gov”.   1. Never send money

When you win the visa lottery it must be clear that the canceled fees are paid at the embassy or US consulate to a previously scheduled appointment. You will never be asked such advance payments by check, money order or wire transfer.

  3. Do not open or much less answer emails that tell you who won the visa and ask them to deposit money.
